The Case of the Greystone Inscription
Millicent Channing turns to Sherlock Holmes when her fiance John disappears. All she can tell Holmes is that he become extremely absorbed in his historical studies, and believed he had made an important discovery. The last she heard, he was planning on taking a trip to see Sir Thomas Greystone.
When she hadn’t heard from him, she decided to pay a visit to the Greystone Castle herself, where she was greeted coldly and told they had never seen him. Holmes searches Johns flat for clues and finds a copy of an historical inscription which he decides will be of use - upon his visit to the Castle.
